Export Requirements for Nicaragua

  2. Ineligible Products
    1. Poultry and poultry products derived from birds originating from or slaughtered within:
      1. California
        1. The State of California on or after September 8, 2018 and before September 3, 2020 are ineligible for export.*
      2. Connecticut:
        1. Fairfield County on or after March 29, 2019 and before July 18, 2019, are ineligible for export.*
      3. Minnesota
        1. The State of Minnesota on or after October 20, 2018 and before April 30, 2019, are ineligible for export. *
      4. Missouri
        1. Jasper County on or after February 5, 2018 and before July 29, 2018 are ineligible for export. *
        2. Webster County on or after February 22, 2018 and before September 13, 2018, are ineligible for export. *
      5. North Carolina 
        1. The State of North Carolina on or after March 12, 2020, and before October 19, 2020, are ineligible for export.*
      6. Pennsylvania
        1. Lancaster County on or after March, 13, 2019 and before September 8, 2019, are ineligible for export.*
      7. South Carolina 
        1. The State of South Carolina on or after March 17, 2020, and on or before August 28, 2020, are ineligible for export.
      8. Texas
        1. Hopkins County on or after February 9, 2018 and before June 21, 2018 are ineligible for export.

Documentation Requirements

  1. Poultry and poultry products must be accompanied by FSIS Form 9060-5, Meat and Poultry Export Certificate of Wholesomeness. The city and state location of the establishment that produced the poultry or poultry product and the following certification statement must be included in the Remarks section or as an FSIS letterhead certificate:

    "The meat is derived from birds which have been kept at a farm since they were hatched or for the past 21 days and in which there has been no evidence of notifiable avian influenza (NAI) in the past 21 days."
  2. Beef and beef products. Obtain FSIS Form 9060-5, Export Certificate of Wholesomeness and an FSIS letterhead certificate:
    1. The United States complies with the conditions in the Terrestrial Animal Health Code of the OIE as a country that presents a Negligible Risk for bovine spongiform encephalopathy.
      Estados Unidos cumple con las condiciones del Código de Salud de Animales Terrestres de la OIE como un país que presenta un Riesgo Negligible para la encefalopatía espongiforme bovina.
  3. Pork and pork products must be accompanied by FSIS Form 9060-5, Meat and Poultry Export Certificate of Wholesomeness.

Plants Eligible to Export

All Federally inspection establishments are eligible to export.
